Baby number two is....

We headed to Auburn today to find out what our new baby is! We picked up my mom then headed on our way. We stopped for a bit at my hubby's moms (we were early). We decided to take our little Dawning with us. Two times ago we took her to a normal appointment to hear the baby's heart beat and she screamed the entire time! We were a tad worried she'd do it again but she also had her Nana and her Grammy-meme to keep her entertained.

We got there and went to the wrong lab, so we got new direction and head to the right one. I was told to have a full bladder to make sure they could get good pictures. I told that to the Ultra Sound lady and she said well lets see I got all gooped up and she got to looking and informed me that I did a great job at filling my bladder. Off came the goop so I could empty my bladder and then we started all over again. I was also told that my ultra sound would take 45 min! None of Dawnings ever took this long. Yet she was right!

She took her time looking at everything! She found a few of my body parts and all of this baby's! This little one has two kidneys (my family has a few people that only have one), there is a beautiful heart! We saw it several different ways all four ventricles exist! and the flaps (baby brain I forgot the names of them) are all working! We saw the spine in length and several angles from the skull. There seems to be one very healthy happy little child in my tummy!

I am sure that you are going crazy wondering what we are having and I'm taking my time because we almost didn't find out! She forgot that we wanted to know! so here are a few pictures of what we got to see then I will tell you what this little one is.

The ultra sound lady said this child has beautiful long legs....

The Feet!! Oh I have to say Dawning loves her toes! every night we snuggle and listen to some music we usually spend the first song talking about her toes. When we saw this baby's toes I got excited so that Dawning would focus. "Toes! Dawning look at your baby's toes!!" Dawing got so excited and looked at the screen and yelled "Toes! oooh Toes!!" over and over so we got a good picture of the toes.

Look at my baby! BEAUTIFUL!! Oh another really fun thing that I didn't see with Dawning was while we were watching the screen the baby punched me. I felt and saw that little arm move! I loved it!

My younger brother taught my Sisters oldest boy to do the alien peace sign thing, I remember it being a really big deal so when I saw this little one do this all I could think was wow my baby can do it in the womb! I made sure to share this with my little brother.

Alright so what everyone is waiting for....We are having....A....Girl! Honestly I was crushed to hear this but as the day went on I'm getting excited...The problem is that we keep thinking its a boy and picking out boy names and then...its a girl! Which is exciting I just keep getting all worked up thinking its a boy. Then again the way a baby goes from this tiny egg and is formed and molded into this beautiful little creature is just amazing in itself! Just knowing I helped with that and feeling this little girl inside of me wiggle and kick and punch amazes me.

I love that shes hitting hard enough for others to feel now. I cant wait for Dawning to feel her and understand even more. Today she was giving the baby raspberry kisses (we call them zerberts we got that from The Bill Cosby show). She just cant stay on my tummy long enough to feel a movement. She was showing her Auntie where the baby was (and my belly button another favorite body part!) she was kissing and hugging her baby it was so cute.

Before bed tonight instead of talking forever on her toes I told her she was going to be a big sister to a sister! I asked if she was excited (mind you its an hour past bed time) and she said, "nooo" I told her that the baby was girl just like her. I asked her if she was a girl and she nodded yes then I said and the baby is a girl too. "Nooo," she said. I am sure she doesn't get it all but she will if we keep talking about how exciting it is to be a big sister to a sister!

Our biggest problem now is to find a name! we do luckily have 5 1/2 more months to find one! phew! Personally, I would love a little that looks a bit like this momma! Not that daddy looks bad or that our Dawning is ugly cause shes is absolutely beautiful and looksjust like daddy, but I think one kid looking like momma wouldn't hurt...no red hair (black would be fine!!). Though I will definitely take and love what God gives me. I don't think God minds a little bit of hints of what we would like though....Of course He knows what we will love! God is so good! This child seems healthy and that's the most important thing I want! I can't wait to share this bundle of joy with everyone when she comes.

Baby dolls

After we went hiking we needed to stop to grab a few groceries. Little Dawning did such a good job all day we took her over to the toy isle there we found lots of dolls. Now before today Dawning didnt play with dolls. We found a doll that was almost as big as her and one that was a normal doll size. I wish I had pictures to show you how funny she looked carrying a giant doll and a little doll around. She wanted me to carry her with these dolls it was very hard to do. She then tried to walk to show her daddy what she found. She fell flat on well..the dolls. Daddy said no to getting a doll because she hasnt shown interest in them before (and we have bought her a few that she hasnt touched). I told her we could go home and shop for a doll in her room from her mommas collection.

We lined them up and she found three that she loved. Travis to the left up there and the twins which is the one in thr front and his sister which Dawning already took.

She had a blast playing with her babies.

I showed her how to put her babies to bed and cover them up. She added the second baby and covered there faces.

She tried hard to care all three of them. she kept dropping them and saying "uh oh" and then picking them up.

She then put them in this bouncer and gave them some love...there is two babies under her.

Here is her little family!

She also tried to go to bed with her babies and got stuck. Daddy said he might buy her a dolly next time.

Gram Emerson

Here is a picture of my Grammy Diane Emerson.

She was a great women not perfect but who is? She raise seven children the youngest being twins. My mom is the second oldest and her second daughter. I have found out that Gram is very crafty. Not only has she done her scrap booking but she has made stuffys crocheting. In fact I believe i have one she made its a two sided doll, it is little red riding hood one side then you flip it over and bring the dress down and its a wolf or bear...i forget. She also was into baking pastries. I would have loved to taste some of those!

Growing up with Gram we did lots of things! We used to go to Hermit Island with her and Grampa and my aunts family. Gram and Gramp always got a camp site a little ways from the rest of us so they could have some privacy and quiet with all us kids...

Grammy loved the ocean. When I turned nine I got to go to her house for the week! We picked up one of my cousins and headed to the ocean.

The past year and a half will be my most cherished memories of her! She got to see my first born and got to spend so much time with her! We visited almost every week so I could clean her house or scrapbook my sweet girls first year of life! Gram was meme to all the great grand kids. My daughter said it once the night before we went up. She may not remember her Meme but she will know that she was loved by her.

We have memories that will be saved and put in her scrapbook. I will write stories of how she and Meme used to scrapbook together. My little girl would paint on memes table! The blue wont come out now.

It was hard to lose Gram she was so dear to all of us. There is one thing that is so great to know! I will see her again! She is in heaven. She kept telling us she wanted to go home and that shed see us again. I may not have gotten to see her in her last days as much as I wanted But she knows I love her and I know she loved me and my children.

Gram will deffenetly be missed. She will be missed everyday but especialy at this years cookout and when my new little one is born and shes not there to hold it. She will be watching the whole time though :)

House Guest

We have a house guest this week. My brother just bought her a few days ago.

Meet Bailey

She is beautiful! Little Dawning loves her. We got up this morning (Dawning didnt know she was here) I told her that Bailey was here and that after breakfast we would let her out. Bailey came out and Dawning crawled after just like a dog and she was yelling dog! dog! dog! they have been playing all day today!

When my brother (Uncle Ef) got home today they went out to play fetch.

Dawning wanted the ball just as bad as Bailey did.

They both went after the ball but Bailey can run faster!

She tried to give Bailey the dog. Bailey found an apple and was busy.

We are wanting a dog! espcially seeing Dawning have so much fun with a dog in our house. :)

12 weeks!

Here is baby number 2! This is a picture at 12 weeks.

Here is a second shot of him/her!

Cravings thus far--Chinese, duck sauce, sweets

My emotions lately are crazy! I'm not sleeping even with a sleeping aid which I'm sure is adding to that.

I feel this baby move every night when I am still. Every morning daddy can feel it too! all bulged out of my tummy!

Due date January 3rd

Doll houses are for dolls...

Little Dawning was told to go play with her doll house because playing with the wood stove was not okay to do. I helped her get it out so she could play with plenty of room. I sat back down and I couldn't see her. I minute later she screamed. I figured she couldn't make her doll do something so I didn't tend to her. but she continued to scream and this is what I found.

I think she has learned that her doll house is for her dolls not little girls...I did get her out...No harm to the house and no harm to Dawning and shes still playing with it.

I cannot believe my eyes...

My little girl is getting so big! I have pulled out some of my old toys and every morning (as well as other times during the day) she plays with her barn and her people.

Here is the Momma

The Daddy

The big girl

She doesn't play with her toys like I remember doing, but she does a very good job at it. she can make them climb the latter in the barn and she opens doors. Today she had her big girl and the momma dancing as she sang.

Soon we will have to pull out a baby for her so she will have everyone in her family!

Body coloring

We have gotten so used to going outside to play that we were sad that it had snowed and this momma was not up for being cold! So we did cleaning and watched Psalty and Clifford. When that was done we thought we would learn to color except I didn't want to get up so we improvised with our bodies!

I also let her use my tummy

Then I had a great thought of we need her year hand and foot prints! so we moved on to the paint.

Then a fun bath for two! We decided it needed some bubbles.

Her Piggy/duck peeking through all the bubbles.

A Little Batman for Dawning and Dreaming for me!

We decided we deserved a cookie..or two and thought we'd watch some more Clifford (can you tell it was a lazy day today!)

Oh and blue washable makers don't wash off they turn green! Pink High lighter doesn't wash off either.
Tonight for supper we are trying a new recipe using my new grill pan and set!

Cho Sun Restaurant

Have you ever gone to a new restaurant thinking it will be reasonably priced?

Well, that's what we did the other day. We went to a sushi restaurant here in Bethel thinking we had enough cash to eat there. Then we entered and it was pretty fancy! my dear husband had just gotten out of work and was still in his work clothes and we had our little dawning with us who had been snacking all day and wasn't really to hungry. Now we sat down and looked at the menu I am allergic to shrimp and I'm not to keen on raw fish (I know its a sushi restaurant) so, there was one meal that I could eat and the thing they bring out before our food just happened to be shrimp. My meal cost $17 and my hubby's was $20! Little Dawning threw the food on the floor and tried hard to take my chopsticks so we had to ask for her own set.

We will probably never go there again especially with our little one.

First Snowman

It snowed most of the morning and shoveling needed to be done. I did a walkway to the woodshed for my boys and then took a break by getting my little Dawning and kid sister all dressed up to go outside! (don't mind the date stamp I didn't realize it was on and wrong)

This is really the first time she could move in the snow the last time she was out in the snow she wasn't moving yet.
We decided to make a snowman
This is not only the first snowman of the year but also Dawning's first ever!

A little help

We had meatloaf, home fies, and green beans for supper last night. Here is how preparing the potatoes went.

My little Dawning thought she could help too.

She first tried to eat the peelings then moved on to potato chunks.

We had potatoes everywhere!

I called for help...I thought that my brother was coming to the rescue but he grabed my camera and laughed at us.

She would eat a few pieces and she would also put some back in the pot...which were later rinsed.

It ended in tears and once they were cooked she wouldn't eat them. They were delicious.
